Have you ever parted ways with someone and said, ‘I’ll be in touch’?

Did that ‘touch’ ever happen? Was it an email, a phone call, or a text? Or did that person become buried by busyness, obscured by life’s cloud of to-dos and events?

There are so many people in our lives we genuinely care about, but fail to make sure they realise it. A surprise ‘touch’ of contact from someone you haven’t seen or spoken to in a long time can be the brightest part of your week – to be thought about, reached out to, and remembered makes us feel like we’re not doing life alone.

Next time you find yourself saying out loud, ‘I wonder how so-and-so is doing’ or, ‘It’s been ages since I caught up with ______’ I challenge you to act on it! Send them a card or an email – it doesn’t have to be long, in these cases it truly is the thought that counts. Let someone know that they’re thought of, in your prayers, and close to your heart.

Don’t just say it, do it.
