Why

So, you ask … why the list?

I’ll start by introducing myself. My name is Tesh, and I have a confession to make.

I am a chronic list maker. I never feel like the weekend has ‘officially’ started until I’ve written down all the things I want to get done over the coming precious 48 hours. One Saturday morning however when I sat down to perform this little ritual, something went wrong. My pen made an absent-minded error. Instead of ‘do’, it scribbled ‘be’ at the top of the square, pink post-it note. I paused, stared at the beginnings of my ‘To-Be’ list, and considered the infinite possibilities.

We all seem to be so darn focused on how much we can achieve in a day, accomplishing goals, finishing tasks – it’s like we’ve completely forgotten that we’re human ‘beings’ not human ‘doings’.

Ever since writing that tiny, two-letter word wrong, I’ve been re-evaluating. Wondering if I should tear up my many ‘To-Do’ lists and instead think about who I want to BE.

It’s been a great journey, and along the way I’ve been joined by someone else (Sebbi) who is also living a life focused on being – so the blog has become our collaboration of thoughts on how to not just do great things, but be a great person.

Your comments, thoughts, and contributions are always welcome so please do say hello.
